Be transported across continents, cultures and centuries with inspirational poetry, story, song and music, played on a miscellany of musical instruments.
The Garden at the Edge of the World
The Garden at the Edge of the World can be anything we want it to be.
At one moment, it is an English cottage garden in June; the next, an intoxicating, moonlit Persian rose garden. Now it is a serene Japanese tea garden; then it becomes a Maharajah’s opulent pleasure garden.
In the loving hands of The Gardener, it is always a place of beauty, magic and wonder.
Let’s explore The Garden’s many secrets through its songs, stories, poems and music. When we reach the end, we may chance upon an unlocked gate. Will we venture beyond the garden wall?
The Garden at the Edge of the World is the latest themed performance from singer and multi-instrumentalist, Paula Tait. Touring in 2020.
The Garden at the Edge of the World Tour has been postponed due to Covid-19. We hope to be able to bring it to you again in the future.

This performance witnesses how women are affected by war by bringing to life the poetry and stories of those caught up in conflict and violence in the twentieth century.
Music from each poet’s culture weaves through their words, enhancing the atmosphere and allowing time for reflection. In addition, Paula presents her own self-penned songs inspired by these women’s poetry and stories.
Their words are at once heart-rending, shocking, provoking, uplifting and subversive. Yet, again and again, as if with one voice, these women resist war, defy inhumanity and call resoundingly for peace. Are we ready to hear them yet?
“Emotional and beautifully executed…Thank you, Paula, for a concert that few others would ever have thought of putting together, thank you again.”
