A SOUND BATH FOR CHRISSIE

Sunday 13th February 2022
Cafe Space, Wycombe Arts Centre, 15 Desborough Road, High Wycombe HP11 2PU
4.15-5.30pm

A sound bath dedicated to Chrissie Martin

Chrissie touched our lives in many different ways. One of those was as a gifted gong player and sound healer. She believed wholeheartedly in the power of sound to bring comfort and healing.

I would like to offer this sound bath to anyone who knew her, whether that be as a friend, colleague or sound healing recipient. All are welcome, no matter how well or little you knew her.

During this sound bath, we are invited to hold Chrissie in our hearts and ask for whatever we need: it may be a space to celebrate her life or grieve her loss, or it may be to set an intention to follow her example of living with such love, kindness and beauty. Then we lie back, relax and allow the sound to do its work for us.

The sound bath includes gongs, singing bowls, voice and supporting musical instruments.

WHAT TO BRING

Bring mats to lie on and a pillow for your head. You may also like to bring an eye mask. Bear in mind that, despite heating, the Cafe Space can be chilly in winter, so please bring enough clothing and blankets to cover you and keep you warm. It is also recommended to bring a bottle of water to maintain hydration.

VENUE AND ARRIVAL

There is limited car parking at Wycombe Arts Centre. Alternative car parking is available on the street and at nearby car parks. The Arts Centre is within a short walking distance of High Wycombe bus garage.

Please arrive at 4.15pm to get settled for a prompt 4.30pm start.

Sunday 24th May 2020
Dance Studio at Princes Risborough Secondary School, Merton Road, Princes Risborough HP27 0DR
2 – 4pm

This event is cancelled due to Covid-19.

WELCOME THE SUMMER AS THE EARTH GROWS

Join us to celebrate the energy and growth within each one of us as we enter into the Summer Season. The Sun is a ball of fire that gives life and inspiration to create a passionate way forward on our path ahead..

Paula Tait and Chrissie Martin are delighted to come together to offer four special Sound Ceremonies throughout the year in celebration of the seasons.

This will be the second ceremony to welcome in Summer. Each session is a stand alone ceremony so if you did not attend the first Spring ceremony you will still benefit from this one.

The ceremony includes gongs, singing bowls, grounding instruments and supporting musical instruments that represent the elements of the season. Together, they will create a non-ordinary space for relaxation, cleansing, healing and renewal that will prepare you for the coming growth of Summer.

We will also offer a seasonal guided meditation. For this, y ou may wish to consider what needs to be grown within or around you and how you can use the fiery Summer energy to help others who may be in a less fortunate position. We are all being called to look out for one another at this time and there may be simple ways to enhance somebody else’s happiness and create a sense of wholeness and caring within your community. The ceremony will offer the opportunity to set your intention for growth to come to fruition.

There will be refreshments and home-made chocolates at the end and you will take away a little gift to symbolise the energy of Summer. There will also be an opportunity to purchase handmade eye pillows and candles should you wish.

SPRING Sound Ceremony

Saturday 29th February 2020
Dance Studio at Princes Risborough Secondary School, Merton Road, Princes Risborough HP27 0DR
2 – 4pm

WELCOME THE SPRING AS THE EARTH AWAKENS

Join us to celebrate the stirrings of rising energy within each one of us as we enter into new beginnings with renewed energy, optimism, vision and action to create our path ahead.

Paula Tait and Chrissie Martin are delighted to come together to offer four special Sound Ceremonies throughout the year in celebration of the seasons.

This will be the first ceremony to welcome in Spring. We are holding this event on 29th February, the extra day in this Leap Year. This day provides a time out away from the calendar, a liminal moment where we can step outside of norms, restrictions, and expectations, allowing us to re-assess ready to leap forward in Spring.

The ceremony includes gongs, singing bowls, grounding instruments and supporting musical instruments that represent the elements of the season. Together, they will create a non-ordinary space for relaxation, cleansing, healing and renewal that will prepare you for the coming awakening of Spring. All you need to do is lie back and allow the sounds to wash over and around you. We will also offer a seasonal guided meditation. You may wish to consider what needs to be released within or around you to enable you to move forward and to set an intention for what you would like to bring into your life as we move into Spring energy. There will be homemade chocolates and energy balls at the end and you will take away a little gift to symbolise the energy of Spring. There will also be an opportunity to purchase handmade eye pillows and candles should you wish.
