A VOICE OF HEALING

In the Tradition of Songkeepers, Taletellers and Wordweavers of old…

…I offer song, story, poem, incantation and blessing for soul-connection and transformation.

To the inspiration of thrice-voiced bards and the magic of wise-worded oracle women, I bring my own personal insight, empathy and artistry.

A VOICE OF ARTISTRY

The depth of expression attained over three decades of experience as a professional singer, harpist, multi-instrumentalist, creative speech artist and bardic performer.

My solo appearances include radio, festivals and concerts at such places as Oxford’s Bodleian Library, Downton Abbey’s Highclere Castle and The National Botanic Garden of Wales. I have played for the Irish ambassador to the UK and for the England Football Team. But my most unusual appearance was live on BBC1’s Crimewatch, playing an example of a stolen harp for 6 million viewers.

“We were deeply moved by the intensity, sincerity, artistry and professionalism of your performance today. And it was clear that others were similarly deeply moved. ”

— Keith Chatfield, Writer and Narrator of children’s TV series Hatty Town and Issi Noho

A VOICE OF EMPATHY

The caring and sensitivity that flows from my practice as a certified healthcare musician, sound healer and shamanic ecotherapy facilitator.

Hundreds of people have benefited from my voice healing treatments for individuals and restorative music sessions for care homes and support organisations. Some of my most fulfilling experiences have been playing in the children’s intensive care ward of a Dublin hospital and creating an anxiety-reducing interactive performance for vulnerable prisoners at HM Prison Bullingdon.

“So many people spoke of the spirit of gentle peace, relaxation and oneness that they experienced from you. ”

— Care for the World Team, Wheatley URC

A VOICE OF INSIGHT

The wisdom inherited from the folklore, myth and spiritual teachings of my English, Welsh, Scottish, Irish and Norse heritage and from kindred traditions around the globe that have remained alive to the creative gifts of the imaginal realm.

I have given workshops, masterclasses and lectures for organisations that include The Lake Erie Institute (USA), Therapy & Nature UK, The Federation of Holistic Therapists and Zenways. I also enjoy teaching and mentor individuals.

“Paula brings interest, curiosity, and personal wisdom. She has passion, insight, imagination and determination.”

— Andreas Kornevall - Storyteller, Ecologist and Tutor for College of Psychic Studies

A VOICE OF THE SOUL

The guiding principle of my work is that to heal, as a society and as individuals, we must free our perception from the prison of an overculture that views the inner life as unreal and the material world as all there is. One way to do this is through the arts of the imagination, as expressed through the sung, spoken and written word.

Then we need to restore our original, integrated awareness that has always been alive in both the seen and unseen worlds. For this, we have the threefold voice - the place where body and spirit unite in the soul.
