SONG OF ALBION™

A quest for the true voice of the British Isles that sings through her legends, lore and landscapes.

A JOURNEY OF TRANSFORMATION

Song of Albion™ is for you if you feel disconnected from today’s AI-addled, commodified culture and long, instead, to belong more deeply to the land.

We shall seek healing by re-weaving ourselves into the seen and unseen web of life that is the ground of our being.

When we return home at last, with stars in our hair and soil in our toes, we may well carry with us a deeper wisdom, an expanded vision and a renewed knowing of who we truly are.

Your company is warmly requested. Will you join us?

THE STORY OF SONG OF ALBION™

My childhood home was at a crossroads on the very edge of London. There was Heathrow Airport to the north, the River Thames to the south and the looming metropolis itself to the east. To the west I could look out towards the rolling White Horse Hills and, beyond, the summer country of Avalon.

It was, perhaps, inevitable that I should grow up with feet that yearned to go a-wandering.

Luckily, my career as a singer and harpist gave me plenty of opportunity to travel to the four corners of my homeland. That is, until I became ill.

My health slowly worsened, until a particularly bad flare-up left me unable to walk or see properly for a year. More or less housebound, I was unable to get out on the land I loved so much.

One day, I read in Peter Ackroyd’s book, Albion, that Britain “was, and is, an island of visions.”  Maybe I couldn’t go anywhere physically, but I could go anywhere and everywhere in my mind. I was inspired to make an inner pilgrimage through Albion - the Britain of the Imagination - guided by those poets, storytellers, musicians and artists who had gone before me.

Now I feel the call to make this pilgrimage once again. And this time, I am inviting you to come with me.
